I first saw this last year when someone suggested me some brand new and "original" TV series called once upon a time. It's about fairy tale characters living a normal life unaware who they are except for some and there's some bullshit plot about the evil characters taking over or whatnot. I looked it up on imdb and saw now there's another series raping the Alice in Wonderland story, called Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Then there's the old fables graphic novel. I recently played a game called The Wolf Among Us which is based on the aforementioned garbage. It's some standard detective game that would be the fucking same without the inclusion of fairy tale characters.

Everyone complained how furfags are raping our childhood. And now what happens? People in the media start doing the same, encouraging more sick fuckery. "Oh yeah. Who wouldn't want to bang snow white? Look at her. She's so hot!" But let the facts speak:

It's funny because they probably thought that putting fairy tales in a modern setting was totally original. Now it's just getting old. The fairy tales seldom play into the plot at all; the story would work the same without the characters being Cinderella and Tinkerbell and shit like that.

The media, especially entertainment media is owned by a handful of corporations, who are more or less in cahoots with one another. While they exist to sell a product, they are also the propaganda machines for the elite. Unfortunately for you furniture, the elite do things like this and are motivated by things like this. Thus we can see the elite are motivated by metaphysics and related philosophy. So how does this have to do with fairy tales in contemporary culture?

Well these propaganda machines are pushing this to slowly expose the masses to the concept of fairy tales to desensitize the masses to these fairy tales being something more than old wives tales. Especially since the whole idea of democracy is the false "god" of equality, which is quite the opposite of how the universe works, so they have to indoctrinate you furniture into accepting your place on the Chain of Being. Change is coming and there is nothing you furniture can do to stop what is going to happen.

It is at least a hundred reasons why but here is a few.

Its a marketing thing, if they whore out Snow White and My Little Mermaid by making them more "Adult" or "Edgy" then they might rake in a few more Shekels from manchildren and Fangirls.

Oh and the new generation of American kids (Those who consume the most media.) are more fucked up than ever, so they might not identify well with a singing mermaid who wants to get rid of her tail and marry a white male heterosexual.
