it really does. i think that most of the ED viewers are afraid of the forum because they have viewed the articles. this leaves only a few type of people on the forum to contend with, anonymous trolls, masochists and people that dont give any kind of a fuck what anyone on the internet does. people that dont give a fuck dont have alot to say masochists try to get negative attention along with the trolls, however the apathetic posters wont respond to their faggotry in most cases. this creates a failure to communicate that requires the scornful empathy of someone brave enough to be themselves on the forum rather than hide behind a faceless screen name. the factors combined contribute to the shit and gay that 95% of the posts here either start out and finish as or at least finish as.

O.k,serious reply. I think EDF2 is far better then alot of forums,but can never live up to the heightened expectations of people who read the wiki. Let's look at it this way: What are the positive traits of EDF compared to other forums ? 1. Users who have an actual life outside of the internet. Not all of them,but while most people who venture out into the internet outside of the realms of facbook and twitter are all somewhere on the spectrum of Nerd<--->Normal person. EDF users are more along the lines of Massive internet nerd<------Normal person-----> Total psycho. 2. Computer savvy administration. That's a given. The only reason EDF malfunction so much is because it is constantly being renewed and renovated. Unlike other forums that only run smoothly because they were left to stagnate. 3. Interesting threads. Like i mentioned in the first point,some EDFers actually have lives. Some of this maybe due to them reading Encyclopedia Dramatice articles and realizing that being a housebound,unemployed retard is not something to be proud of,on the internet or elsewhere. The result is that every week we have a "Hay guys,i'm going to jail"/"Hay gais,imma drunk !"/"Supp dudz,i'm so high right now..." thread,and the ever so rear,but still funny "i'm going to kill myself/OH SHIT I THINK I JUST KILLED SOME DUDE ! WHAT SHOULD I DO ?!" threads. 4. Not a total sausage fest. At least not as much as other forums. This is due to are fun and inviting attitude towards female members,that includes: calling them whores,asking to see their tits and mocking their opinions on account of them being stupid AS WELL as for them just being girls who should STFU and return to the kitchen. This may sount bad,but it's still a thousand times better then the creepy internet flirting that girls have to deal with in most internet forums. Now,what are the downside of EDF2 ? 1. No serious discussion. Every attempt to talk about anything of importance will be immediately flooded with the first 5-10 comments being attempts to say the most offensive and antagonizing thing regarding the topic. Every real discussion on a controversial topic is written off as an attempt to troll,and about 80% of them really are. The only ones who ever start any threads resembling intellectual debate are Baya and Dr.Rice. And their topics are all so boring and the writing so dull that these threads are like a sleeping pill dipped in chloroform. 2. Can't live up to anyones expectations. This is the main problem. I think that most people come to EDF expecting it to be a hive of expert computer hackers and seasoned verbal abusers,working together on trolling lolcows and fishing for information to add to articles and make them better. I myself came to EDF expecting an eviroment free of weeboos,furrys,aspies,GOTIS and more fucking furrys (GOD I HATE FURRYS). But i was surprised to find all manner of internet illness right here on the forum. I also though that everyone on EDF would have the same attitude towards life as is on the wiki,I.E: finding flaw in everything and being able to explain why anything anyone thinks or believes is wrong and why he is gay for thinking it. All i found was shitposting. So what could improve EDF2:EB ? More original conent i guess... What sets EDF apart most from SA (apart form stealing jewgold/banning anyone for anything/being gay as a Turkish prison and so on...) is no OC. No one here is good at photoshop... in fact... no one here is good at anything. (Myself included) So the only thing most users contribute is calling one another fags. Another thing would be: more... well... i'm reluctant to say "trolling",but any kind of joint endeavor that would translate into more material for articles. Or you could all just fuck off and kill yourselves. Yeah,you should all just do that.
