Did I ever make that claim in my previous message? No. I said that I observed higher quality fanart. While the pony fanbase is particularly strong in some areas, in other ways, it's worse than any fandom out there. And yet, many of these MLP artists can draw pretty damn fine.
Okay, yes, I too sometimes get nostalgic about old cartoons, but fuck. That's the thing about them, you can't just bring them back, they'll suck. I actually liked the Discord video, but I have friends in weird places. There's a ton of girls at the college I go to who constantly draw yaoi, especially Supernatural and Sherlock yaoi. They draw very well but you can tell a lot of it is poses they remember from comics. Also that weird yaoi huge hand thing.

You know, every time I some grown ass dude crying about how old cartoons were so much better back then and how much today's cartoons suck, I'm always reminded of this scene from the Twilight Zone episode called Walking Distance: They're so clouded by their nostalgia that they can't seem to just stop and look. If they did, they might realize that cartoons are just fine now. I mean, yeah, there's tons of crap. But there's always been crap. Quite frankly, the 90's were fucking full of shitty cartoons. Anyone remember Road Rovers? or Biker Mice From Mars? or Bucky O'Hare? Oh wait, you don't. Probably because they sucked. The 80's were full of them too, and so were the 70's (oh god) and so on. I know this probably sounds really gay and all, but it's just something that's been on my mind for a while. Ok, now let's get this goddamn thread back on track.
In a way I see where he's coming from, a lot of lazy animation with flash which is kinda shitty and all and bland stick figure like shows like 40z Mouse or some shit, and south park, adventure time, etc. They all look like they were drawn from some 14 year old compared to some of the cartoons from back in the day. That being said though, a lot of shows from the 80s sucked dick in animation, and some of the 90s shows were just retarded in plot or ripoffs of the Ninja Turtles or some shit. I mean, animation of Korra, compared to other shows, it far superior, but it's an exception to the rule. Some of the shit on tv nowadays seems like a fucking joke. I don't remember road rovers but from a quick google search and seeing a lot of over-grown dog tits I'd say that it's better if I didn't.
