Can't say I'm surprised that this is happening and he shouldn't be either. While I certainly don't condone the government spying on us 24/7/365, Snowden had to have known this would have been the government's response (I think he even said this is what would happen when he did his interview with The Guardian). I'll be more interested to see how Hong Kong reacts to the US's extradition request and how this affects US-China relations.

I suppose I should say that I'm not disappointed because he's Obama, but because he basically isn't keeping his promises and he's sort of letting those down who voted for him. Regardless of who he is or what party he's part of, I would've rather seen him behave more like Bush and push through a ton of executive orders or get around congress through vacations than sit by and have nothing happen. I mean sure it's not permanent but at least it's something. I don't know whatever, there's no point in arguing too much about it now anyway.
