@MashedPotatoes honestly just get a job and do your art in your free time. college is such a load of bullshit, at least mine is. i'm just making the most of it to get other places. if you want to do illustration as a job, just get good enough to do said job. the skill level in my 'professional' class is laughable.
For the love of god don't. Go for something worthwhile (STEM or econ) and do art as a hobby. If you get good enough to sell, cool! You can sell your shit and also have a degree to fall back on! If you don't get good enough to sell, or find out you fucking hate doing shit for other people, cool! You have a degree that will actually get you somewhere in life. Art degrees are expensive and worthless. The student base is fucking terrible. The teachers are almost all bitter and hate being there because they couldn't do the job they're trying to teach others to do. It sucks. 1/10 do not recommend. Also, according to Dana Terrace, she regrets going because if she'd just applied herself like she had at college on her own she'd likely be in the same place. Girl worked 8 hours a day on her art in and out of class.
Who the fuck introduces themselves like that? You don't see people go around saying "Hi, my name is Alex, I'm straight and I like to take it up the ass." Unless I want to fuck you I don't care about your sexuality.
Now I remember why I dropped out of college... besides the poverty. Also, funny fact, if I spend more than twelve hours in proximity to one of these people, they either realize they are fucktards and re-evaluate their lives, or hate me so much they will never speak to me again.
I beat you to the post. All the time I was reading this thread, I would go to like something and you'd pop up first. Stop enjoying the posts I enjoy. You're triggering me, and I have autism, because I'm non-binary retard-kin.
Knew this guy in high school, definitely had some brain issue. He would do nothing but look at pokephiliac BDSM in class and annoy the teachers to death. He would steal peoples things like if he wanted you to chase him or something. He had no social common sense at all, would always touch people, talk really close and follow people around. Worst of all he was a fat nigger. Everyone hated him, lol even the teachers would talk about him and make jokes when he wasn't around. I didn't interact with him. From reading this thread, seriously is college even worth it?
Depends what you plan on studying and what you make out of it. People like the ones mentioned in this thread are doing nothing but wasting valuable time and money that they could use to make something worthwhile with their lives but instead spend it trying to go through higschool again.
You people who actually have to deal with tumblrites and their bullshit should get a medal or something. At least a government pension.
I know someone that goes around doxxing people at my college to see if they are a tumblr user. Big shock, she's also a tumblrina. Not a bad person but still creepy as fuck yo.
Found this in the opinion section of my town's paper this morning. EDIT: alright, it should be properly rotated now.
Also, there is a girl in our courses who has red dyed hair and is a vegan. I doubt she has a tumblr, but she called me an egoist for supporting animal experimentation (and there are rules on that made by European Union for make it as ethical as possible). We talk sometimes, she can be a good company (cooking, hiking, vidyagames and sometime drawing) What strikes me is that this girl comes from an artistic high school (because we have different high school and technical institutes with different teaching programs, with some diploma you can start working immediately with some good competences) and I heard odd stories that you find any kind of "bizzare" people in artistic high schools. I have the feeling that in such enviroments, since there have been artist with some odd personalities, people make a contest on the being the oddest and most out of the norm...which is bad. Posing is bad.
