Tim B^Uckley Thread - AKA the amazing list of failure.

I only wanted to see what Buckley had in store of "artistic talent" in the next page.

What I got: TL;DR material and no art
What I expected: TL;DR material with an art skill comparable to that of a high school 10th grader still learning the ropes at an amateur's level.

I read one page...yes I read it...and let me tell you guys it's not written well at all. He's trying (at least I think he is) to do it like an adventure book like The Adventures of Goldhawk or something like that, but even those are written better than this. He jumps from a comic script to the standard story telling style and it's really jarring.

I can honestly say that I've read fanfiction written better than this. He doesn't paint a clear picture for your mind's eye to create a great image.

The names suck. There's nothing else to say about the names, they just suck.

The only thing I can compare it to is like the unabridged version of Moby Dick. I read it in high school and I just wanted to punch Ishmael for being a whiny faggot. They cut out all his bitching about his girlfriend and how he goes into details about the whaling process...for chapters on end.

I actually forced myself to read through a couple of those pages, granted I often kinda skipped the middle. Wholly agree. It is NOT well-written. I wrote better prose than this when I was in middle school. Tim Buckley is just objectively not a good writer. His style is bland and has bad syntax and lacks imagery or vocabulary.

It's like "Blank!" Said blank, while he blanked. The blank was blank.

Buckley fails at plot twists, and tries to throw in some kind of unfunny jokes involving violence...again. News at 11.

What kind of pretentious bastard even uses present tense in this day and age?

I don't know what make me sadder: He's still copying and pasting heads, since each male and female character look the same structure-wise, or he's still copying and pasting his comics with a tablet he bought with stolen cancer kid money?

Yeah well it doesn't really look like anime to me because the characters actually have noses and jawlines. I like it.
But you're right, she should hear at least SOME criticism, so the mage-dude's face looks askew and a lot more bland than the other characters that have more of a 'life' to them.

Well you don't have to fix it, it isn't like intended to be a finished drawing, but just in the sake of fairness.

Actually what I think it is, is that his face is drawn from a straight-on perspective but the features are in 3/4ths so it doesn't line up right.

I get ya, he has wide face and wandering eye if I look at it closely.
