genzoman has a really ugly anime style. it's 'generic western style based on western women/men' rather than 'eastern style based on japanese women/men'. you can almost always, ALWAYS tell a western manga artist from an eastern one because of their obvious, obvious influence... and this is why i stopped drawing manga at 16.
but yeah, it's too generic western and it looks awful.

So many thing is wrong with that Genzoman's piece. Despite the seemingly nice coloring of his works, one thing still PREFAIL! HIS SHADOW DOESN'T REALLY WORK!!!

I saw his work got featured in one of ImagineFX comic and manga special edition (my co worker brought it). Where he did a tutorial of a girl sitting on top of a rooftop. He FAIL miserably at UNDERSTANDING HOW SHADOWS WORK, thus the end product resulting the girl HOVERING at the edge of the rooftop instead of SITTING on it. Small things can leave a HUGE impression to the viewers.

I pointed to my co worker on Genzoman's tutorial flaw (she hate manga style, she bought the edition because the article have fairly good amount of western comic and pin up tutorials).

That giraffe one actually isn't all too bad. Granted, this theme has been done countless times, though still, compared to half the shit in this thread it looks rather decent.

Still though it ain't DD worthy. I've seen pictures that make a far better DD material than this. But, most likely, they'll never recieve it because people who pick these things are a bunch of weaboos and furries who wouldn't be able to tell apart a masterpiece from a pile of rancid shit.
