Many of you prolly know this http://sugarpoultry.deviantart.com/ rather famous Therian. What you may or may not know is that she is a conservative, Christian, rush limbaugh fan, pro life fox news watching hambeast in real life and rather closeted about her furry fetish and is rather vehemently against it(just look at her stamp collection http://sugarpoultry.deviantart.com/favourites/8615858/Stamps-Banners-Interests) one of which is a STRAIGHT PRIDE STAMP and married stamp Make sure to send her your porn edits of her free lineart! http://sugarpoultry.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=/&q=lineart Because, this would make any gay guy straight again! http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2014/140/1/c/maya_and_mr__torgue_by_sugarpoultry-d7j2yvl.jpg
Her wolves look all the fucking same! And as if deviantART stamps weren't full of cancer already, the fact that she has 112 favorite pages just for stamps makes me cringe while wondering just how much USI you need to have to think anybody fucking cares about what you like, do, or support, because nobody gives a shit. Also, the fact that she's so proud of her same face werewolves is self righteous to the point where she thinks that any werewolves who aren't wolfaboo looking are trash and deserve to be burned. Like, look at this: This is directed to that one movie called Wolfman. I personally didn't really get to watch it, only saw a flyer of it once, so I have no idea if the movie was good or not. The only thing that bothers me is that she hates the design for... not having a wolf head or a tail. I'm not kidding, look at this part of the description: From I know, he's called "Wolfman", not "muscular wolf with humanoid proportions", like all of her werewolf designs are in general. Besides, by the same logic in which she criticizes the wolf man for not having more wolf than man, we could critique Spiderman for not looking like a spider, with eight legs, and a bunch of eyes. Like, face it, not everyone designs werewolves the same way you do (using the same design base and changing the colors), get the fuck out your hugbox.
lol wow. I remember her. She is worse than dobson when it comes to taking crits. And, a few years ago, I remember she got called out on her shit for a commission. She traced her old work on a stamp or icon or something and the requester was PISSED. http://artists-beware.dreamwidth.org/1365965.html#cutid1 She followed that other wolf-a-boo. Golden wolf and milked it for all it was worth.
...wow, no wonder I thought that her wolves looked the same, because they literally are the same fucking thing. And that reply she gave, too: Like, she's worse than I imagined. She's asking to not bring the whole world into it, even though it's making people aware of what they are paying for. It's the fucking truth, don't try to hide it from people that you traced for a paid commission, because you shouldn't have done it in the first place.
Yeah. She was basically retracing her own bases after she traced an original pic. She then cried to a mod that she was being slandered on DA and artist beware and since the commissioner had proof, her claim was denied. She then attempted to create her own work and it was just heavily referenced from that point on (Probably still is but I dont follow her) There was even a question about her tracing golden wolfs art. but GW asked her followers just to let it drop.
lol really? A good way to get these werewolves people pissed off at you is to point out that their leg design (like most furries do with the digitigrade feet is that...it's not designed to hold all the weight on the two feet. Humans and some other animals like bears are Plantigrade: Our legs are designed to hold weight on two legs, digitigrade is meant to distribute it evenly across the other limbs. I have often pointed this out with a lot of furries and they get mad very quickly. Also...saw this on my internet image search and about died: BEARS AREN'T FUCKING DIGITIGRADE YOU MORON.
...now that you mention it, I never thought about how stupid the whole bipedal furry thing was full of bullshit. Now that I think of it, if an animal like that were really to try standing on their two feet, they would more likely fall on their face right after. There's a reason why my dog can't stand on his two feet to begin with, and I doubt the bigger feet in those werewolf designs would help such situation anyway.
Personally I don't mind the use of digitigrade legs. Anywho: What's the point of referencing when you're just going to make the product look as identical to the reference as possible? It might as well be tracing.
Recreating photographs is actually a known way for practice among quite the artists, and the art course I took also had me to do it at some point... although I really recall just doing it on paper, and most of the time, it was meant to teach students how to take photographic reference, which some times would involve more than just one photo. Doing it digitally in a manner you are recreating the same thing and just keep taking colors from the original photograph feels pretty pointless, and doesn't feels like much of a practice at all. I even remember seeing a lot of decent artists using photos for reference as a practice., but at least they took a different direction with it, instead of just making the same thing. It's called experimenting, something that this artist in here doesn't does often at all. Actually, I don't think she ever experimented with her art at all, given that she seems happy with just making her pictures look like the exact same thing as her reference (i.e: her howling wolves all having the exact same head).
Yah, she has a daughter, last time I checked. And a husky (how surprising). I think I recall her usually saying that she's not a furry artist, but an anthro artist, and talked about how anthro doesn't equals furry... though I can't really tell the difference, when it comes to her art.
I don't doubt it either. If it's the case, it might as well explain why she favs these stamps: But if you really want to get into a coma from cringing really hard, then there's the stamps that she makes: Replace "study" or "draw" for "trace". *traces the same howling wolf head for commissions* ...she made this herself. Isn't this the kind of thing that fans should make? That's like Tom Preston making his own fan group on deviantART. Do you support keeping the "wer" (old English language word for "man") in werewolf, though? Oh hey, isn't that the picture she traced? "Can't think about a mature decision without thinking of consequences. Now I better finish tracing that wolf head for someone who paid for it" In fact, nearly any of the stamps she made can be proven to be completely ironic when you're keeping in mind that she traced the wolf heads for her commissions. ...like, good for you, I guess. I AM BEAUTIFUL, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY I could go on with this forever, because nothing screams for insecurity as much as these sad deviantART stamps.
