I didn't see a thread for shitty critiques so I made one. Critiques on DA are rarely used for their intended purpose, which is giving advice on improving. Browsing the critiqued section is impossible over the sound of dicks getting sloppily gobbled.

Do these people honestly think their artwork is going to earn them a living?
people who actually do that sort of thing well, they don't use deviantart to whore themselves out to try and get as much attention as they can, they tend to do well advertising by themselves for themselves.
and they are people that can draw very very well, but it's far from an easy job.

why do people who draw absolute shit that almost always derivitive of some other existing art style, or particular drawing method from their favorite cartoon?
and allot of these people cannot even draw anything but a limited group of subjects very well, well that does not make you appealing as a graphics designer for hire, because you need to be able to draw almost anything, and draw it good, the art is dictated by the person who commissions you, not by your talent (or lack of)

Believe it or not... a few of the pros DO whore themselves out on dA (Genzoman, for example. Like or dislike his work, the man gets regular professional contracts for his stuff and pretty much attention whores on dA frequently.). However, I think you're right that they don't use dA as the vessel of advertisement for their professional work. They have other avenues for that.

seems some people who work on cartoon networks aweful low quality cartoons are using dA to try and get buttpats and attention, it's just a shame they don't get torn apart by trolls, it would be highly amusing to see the people partly responsible for terrible shit cartoons end up killing themselves because teh teh nazty trawls on deviantTART cawled me baaaad naaaames.
