I just had this happen to me again last night and it reminded me of why I hate it: People who are ungrateful. This has probably come up before and is quite normalized on DA. A long while back, I dared make the horrible of mistake of faving without commenting. Some little twat came to my page and proceeded to bitch about "Thanks for the fave BUT...NEXT TIME LEAVE A COMMENT ARGH!!!!! ". Instead of being grateful that I even faved something of hers, it wasn't good enough, so I unfaved the whole picture and told her to sod off. Last night I uploaded a picture that had a butt-ton of textures being used on it. I credited all the artists' stock (about fifteen) and linked back to all their pages in the artist's description as a thank you. Some person who must search her own name then came to my picture about ten minutes later and proceeded to shit on it, saying how I CLEARLY didn't follow her rules because GASP!, after all of that I DARE didn't leave her a comment to the picture so she could...simply add it to her massive favourites list she has of just herself and her stock as it's used in other people's artwork. Instead of being even grateful that I linked back and mentioned the fucker, she left me a paragraph of why that wasn't good enough and why I had to leave a link back so she could add it to her e-clit portfolio. I'm sorry I have a life beyond DA and didn't have time to personally leave you an extra comment so you could whore yourself a little bit more with my art, as if I made that piece JUST for your own personal collection of LOOKIT ME AND MY STOCK BEING USED AREN'T I GREAT ^__^. And the texture was just a tiny blip in a massive picture. I bet she couldn't even point it out. So I went back to my picture, deleted her textures out of it, used someone else's, recredited them, and took her out of my credits and told her to fuck off. Yes, I mad, but that shit really pisses me off, especially when you have the gonads to shit on someone else's picture at the same time. xD I hatehatehate hiding comments, but damn this makes me want to. Okay, this is more like a DA pet peeve/butthurt, but whatever. I had to get it off my chest. Laugh.
haha, people actually care about comments (to the point of using angry emoticons). Unfaving? That's the lamest effort of 'getting back' on a deviant I've ever seen. Do people actually receive notifications of "User unfaved your artwork" or do you need to tell them?
Yeah, it's super weird how touchy people get over comments. It's like, really? (I know this is ironic coming from me! xD) That's a good question! I know for at least Furaffinity if you don't erase the alert that someone faved it, it'll brokenly show that "the user" unfaved it if they do. I know at least for me I don't tell them. It's super lame I know, and it's not even so much as "getting back to them" as just "okay, here ya go!". If it's so precious to them they can enjoy the "loss" of losing a +1, I guess. I don't know jackshit in the art of trolling.

I used to follow someone who drew a manga in right to left and got super pissed when I pointed out she was alienating a lot of non-manga fans from reading and it just looked really weird since she wasn't Japanese. I got blocked too, oh well the manga sucked balls.
