Deus is both the manifestation of our inability to comprehend the universe and our place in it as well the manifestation of our need to believe in something greater than ourselves, to obey it without question and to be judged by it. As our belief in the immaterial decreases, our irrational beliefs shift towards the material in the form of idealogy. Eventually, all this will be made irrelevant by facts. Fanatics make up the vast majority of Humans and are only useful as slaves. The species that replaces Humanity will be made out of freemen.
There are things greater than ourselves. That's not a belief that's a fact. You've said you only believe in belief and that there is only ideology.
