Dear fellow first year college students, semi-intellectual frat boys and all-round readers of Dan Brown books who think they're "crackz0ring the g0vernment c0dez", let us all start a new trollfest, the likes of the christianity topic, with, as ED tradition goes by, severely pathetic arguments and failing at making anyone give a shit. Let us discuss the situation Israel-Palestine. What are your political views on the matter? Is Israel an evil colonialist empire or are Palestine just a bunch of greedy sandniggers? Or are they both? To get things started, my personal contention is pro-Israel. In my opinion, we got a hypothesis where Israel is reigning and a hypothesis where Palestinians are reigning. In the first, we got a pseudo-democratic Western state that turned a piece of barren desertland into a highly fertile, productive and industrially leading land, that oppresses a big minority (Palestinians). In the latter, if we follow the example of virtually every North-African country, we got a non-democratic, oligarchic dictatorship that most likely didn't turn a barren desertland into a highly industrial competitive and technologically advanced country, but rather like every other North-African country, a poverty-infested country where technology and progress are all but the keywords, where a large majority (namely the non-rich) is being oppressed for the sake of a very small minority. Please, share your opinions all.

What's to debate really. I think the best possible solution is a hands off isolationist approach when it comes to the middle east in regards to self rule and border disputes. It's win-win for foreign powers that way. They stop seeing us as meddling super powers with dreams of colonization and at the same time we don't have to listen to their shit anymore. Without foreign backing Israel will have to rethink its policies and attitudes as will Palestine. Maybe they kill each other maybe not. Either way not our problem.
