I don't own the PS Vita, but I have experienced a demo of it a few times. From what I can see, it's the same thing as the old PSP's but with a few technical upgrades (touchscreen, front & back cameras) and some Near application which, in my opinion is pointless. Don't know about games though.
The Vita is a great piece of harware but is probably doomed to fail as a portable device for several raisins, on being Sony fucking up the initial price and marketing. Two, people would rather pay little for a 3Ds than extra for the Vita's gimmicky device.
