after tomorrow i wont be as active as i've been these past few months. engaged in some business expansion project and also starting classes, so my free time at both work and at home will be occupied. throwing it here because nobody cares, however i dont want people thinking i dropped off. the little time i do have for the internet will be spent completing the timeline project. my schedule should free up in march, so ill be shitposting once again at that time. with love, ub.
i'll still be logging in, i doubt ill be able to keep up with happenings. irl is rearing its ugly head at me and there's a lot of things i need to do. my business partner is in the process of starting another company so that puts a lot of weight on my shoulders at the office now that he's out of the picture. also, i used to have 4 spanish speakers working for me, now there's only 1, and spanish accounts for about 30% of my business so i really need to take classes for that. mix that with gym/errands, i think im left with like 1 hour a night to do nothing. such is life :/
IKR I have to learn Spanish to. This country that makes you learn a foreign country's language fucking sucks.

I just spent the last 30 hours on these boards. I think it's safe to say I'd rather be an unemployed basement dweller who harasses people on the internet instead of working towards a future. Good thing I have some common sense.
When I was deployed we stopped at Moron AFB in Spain near Seville. We went out of town and friend of mine from Chicago who spoke Spanish tried asking for directions (we ended up in a Brothel that was amazing). They told him to stop speaking Spanish because he was embarrassing their language lol. Have you encountered Mexican (or Mexican-American) Spanish in Spain and what are your overall thoughts? Also I understand the Mexican Spanish spoke in Chicago (or rural areas in Mexico) is not the same quality as those spoken in universities. It would be like comparing ghetto-Ebonics to American English spoken in universities.
Chicagoans butcher every language, including English. I always get shit about my accent when I visit out of state relatives. I tell them they sound like hicks.
Regarding spanish though, from what I understand, Chicago spanish is either farm-land Mexico or Puerto Rican machine-gun dialect
haha nope. i'll only take up another language if it serves an applicable use. i have a cousin in the military, knows 7 languages including latin. same with my sister, she knows 4. i feel embarrassed, the only language i have is english and according to the rest of the world i'm not even speaking it properly.
