Today in sociology I saw a documentary describing how female babies in India are killed before and after birth due to their culture's dowry practices. So many girls are murdered that their gender ratio is now considerably off-kilter (about 94 to 100 compared to the average 100 to 105) and this trend is increasing because of the availability of abortions. One in four girls does not live past puberty and their mortality rate is 40% higher than boys. There's a scene in it where a woman matter-of-factly describes how she asphyxiated eight babies with a wet cloth for all being girls. It really made think about how bad women have in the west. I mean, they don't even have their own videogame characters! And on top of that, they get paid somewhat less than men (not to mention the gazes they must endure occasion after occasion). It's very simple. Because these people (internet feminists and SJWs in general) have no REAL problems to deal with, they make shit up or fight for 'oppressed' minorities. This is my take on the subject. The only thing I can agree with is that as a woman you will get catcalled, groped, unwelcome touches, unwelcome remarks and sexually harassed or abused throughout your life. You can't really avoid it, and while the opposite happens as well, female sexual harassment is still more common. However, I still disagree with the practice of saying any unwelcome look is harassment and filing appropiately, or putting in a police report about somebody raping you just because you hate them, or dressing up like a whore and wondering why you get catcalled. However, I also know you will get catcalled regardless of the clothes you're wearing if you're not deformed or particularly butt ugly, I get same amount of catcalls when I go out in loose clothes that I do when I go out in dresses or what have you. That's the society we live in and shit happens, what you can do in these cases is education (which doesn't really work because common sense is something taught at an early age and if your parents didn't give a shit to be there for you and teach you the world's basics, you'll always act like an antisocial asswipe, woman or man), avoidance (if you know a general area is a construction site or has a lot of drunks/gangs/whatever that catcall or harass often, either take a detour or go there in groups), and ignoring the thing. Really, this is what feminists don't get. You're not helping things by getting pissy and responding to catcalls, they'll just give you the whole 'ooooh feisty rawr' thing and continue. Keep walking and ignore them, much like you're advised online to not feed the trolls. Now, about the rest? Shit like how women are kept out of certain jobs? No, you're not. Same jobs offer same pay and same conditions for a man and a woman, we're even past the mentality where a woman must stay at home and raise children, there's plenty of stay at home dads. Feminists bring up shit statistics about how they get less pay than men per year, but they forget to take into account the jobs - of course the millions of female teachers and female nurses and female elderly carers are going to drop the average of female pay, just like male soldiers and special ops and high risk maintenance (who all get a lot of hazard pay) will raise the average for males, simply because the jobs are different. If you compare the same job, the pay is the same, because contracts cannot be legally modified because of your sex. As to women who say they would love to do x but don't want to go into x because of the male harassment (cops, soldiers, game devs, whatever) ignore the fact that males that go into traditionally female jobs (nurse, child care, teaching) face similar ridicule and harassment that can destroy their careers - how many male teachers or child supervisors have been fired for false pedophilia/rape accounts, again? And yet if you truly love that job and that's what you want to do, you're going to fucking stop making excuses and go into it and deal with stuff - there's plenty of high ranked female officers or generals in the world, plenty of female special ops, plenty of female cops, and even bodybuilders, weightlifters and all that. If a mean comment of 'girls don't belong here, go to the kitchen' brings your whole career down, it would bring ANY career down, not just a 'male specific career'. Just my two cents on the aspect. I've gotten remarks. I have not been touched or sexually harassed or abused. I sure as fuck have not been 'throughout my entire life'. And I'm in a male-dominated field as a woman. I'm personally not gonna roll my eyes at a Russian saying their winters can get to -40C just cause I've never seen it myself. I know for a fact I and a lot of my friends, in the country/city we currently live in, get plenty of catcalls from strangers or socially awkward men conveniently falling/bumping against us in empty buses, at a rate of about once per week, and all of us have dealt with some larger scale harassment at some point in our lives (stalkers, naked stalkers, rape or rape attempts, unwanted groping, sexual harassment by superiors at work, creeps who have gotten our number without us giving it to them calling/texting explicit descriptive material - these may be trolly friends or creep employees at places that require your phone/photo, creeps on the bus poking erections or rubbing erections against legs, etc). Yet I also won't deny there's a noticeable difference between EU countries. Nordic countries, barely a lingering look even wearing cleavage or short dresses, and girls being comfortable going out dressed like lolitas or whatever in the middle of the night and comfortable getting wasted in the company of strangers. UK and Germany? Looks, occasional whistle if you're dressed elegantly/provocative, veeery far apart. Meanwhile, latin countries like France or Spain or Italy will get you whistles, tellers looking down your shirt even when you don't have a large or obivous cleavage, creeps that invade your personal space or start flirting with you out of the blue, sometimes even with a man right by your side (in my case my brother, but they had no way of knowing). It depends a lot on where you live, but I believe the women who say they're scared to go out alone in the night or go through certain areas or that they get catcalled weekly regardless of what they wear. The world is much more than what you've personally experienced of it. However, in all first world countries, this is the only existing issue that can be interpreted as sexist, and it still varies to what degree it happens. Harassment/abuse does happen, is reported in all countries, is tried appropiately in some, and a lot of it is directed at women by men (with occurences of men/men or women/men or women/women but they are irrelevant to this particular discussion). It's a fact, just like salaries being equal for both sexes or any gender orientation, legally, is a fact (and you can still sue if you can prove a man/straight/white in same position gets more and you both perform acceptably). And just like nobody actually keeping you out of your desired education, career, advancement opportunities and all that because of your gender or sexual orientation. So I stand by what I said earlier, harassment/abuse is the only true and good point first world feminists have, but we still don't have it as bad as non-US/EU zones, nor are we legally held back or discriminated compared to men.

Actually I agree with this. It seems to generally be douchebags or mentally deranged men who do most of the sexual harassment or physical/mental abuse, and most men who got into legal trouble from it, be it court or getting fired, have a track record of doing it long before and long after being caught and punished. So yeah, it's a minority of men commiting a majority of acts, but because they each can target a number of women, the number of victims is far greater than the number of perpetrators. There's plenty of men who go on having a normal and fulfilling life but they don't exist in the eyes of feminists, unless they're the betas who kiss their asses, and they're ignored and insulted even then.
