    I concur. A good culling of, say...65% of the population would make ends meet a little better. WE NEED MORE PRODUCTIVITY. Weed out the obese, mentally inferior, and all the loafers that cruise along on government entitlements, and I'd say another golden age would be on the horizon.

    You know, it's funny. There was (and is) a massive scare about "privatising" the police force yet Australia has been engaging in full-scale privatisation of everything (including security services) for over a decade now with only positive results. America, on the other hand, has given its thousand or so police force departments a blank cheque with increasingly negative results.

    Also, if you followed through on your initiative you'd have to kill a sizeable amount of veterans. Just saying.

    My initiative would be ambitious, yes, but don't let my label as "veteran" cause any confusion. In all honesty, I hold very little concern for my "fellow man". What's the old saying? "The needs of the many out-weigh the needs of the few" ? Something like that. Rather, I believe in the idea of acceptable losses...even better, the idea of making an example of those that resist. My own grandfather is supports the idea. In the 1960's, he was in Hungary while the Soviets were trying to take over. Rather than resist, he took advantage. He got himself the equivalent of a master's degree on the Soviet's dime and THEN started to push against them before being forced to flee. The Soviets held "demonstrations" in Budapest where the greased absolute SHITLOADS of resisting Hungarians...all while he sat by and watched with the veritable bucket of popcorn. "Not his problem", he said...smart man, my ole grandpa.

    This is false. Because of our technological advancements, there simply is no need for more workers. We have more than enough production capacity, more than enough product. Getting rid of over half our population would probably help with this, so that part is correct. We don't have an excess of lazy people per se, but rather a deficiency in useful work for those people to do. It's why we have so many government workers (and people lobbying for more constantly), which is really just welfare for people too proud for welfare.
