So yeah, title says it all. If you guys have any screencaps or links to people who responded like jackoffs to your non-offensive criticism of their work, post it here.

The latest two responses at the top are from me and the guy, he blocked me afterwards, and locked the thread. Gonna report his ass, I think.

Basically, I critique his poorly drawn naruto screenshot art, and he flips out on me, blocks me, and locks the thread. Yep. Not sure if this thread will go far but oh well. And yes, I know everything in my gallery is shit, I'm still trying to improve. At least I can admit that.

If you're "MrSnowLeopard", I'd say this is a standard case of pot v. kettle, because the stuff posted there looks just as eyeballed/traced.

Naw I'm good, the journal was more about giving advice than anything. I just don't want people to be afraid to give honest criticisms for fear of the type of backlash I got. Lol, I'm not gonna stop doing it just cuz of that, he's far from the first, and he won't be the last. I found it fucking hilarious. I'm not whining that some guy on DA called me mean words. That was actually pretty damn tame compared to some of the things I've been called in my time.

Now feel free to look through my gallery and tear it all the shreds, as I said, it's all admittedly shit.

I'm not against eyeballing, he was asking why he wasn't getting as many pageviews as he wanted, and I pointed out that one of the reasons was because he's basically just drawing from screenshots/official art, he's not being different enough to get people's attention. People like fanart, sure, it's easy to get popularity from it, but you aren't gonna get much views over complete redraws.

I mean he can draw Naruto all he likes, but at least trying doing something different with the franchise. Biggest problem was his quality, and his attitude is just going to hinder him severely. I honestly didn't expect him to respond like that, he seemed.......rational. Welp, that's the third thread I've possibly caused to get locked on DA because I gave a blunt critique.

For you to post the journal soon after your interaction with Hawks is very telling, I think.

I posted it right afterwards cuz it hadn't gone into "old news, nobody cares now" phase just yet. As for my shit, I put it in the old crap folder because I can't be assed to make a new folder titled "Recent stuff, aka shit" (that and young and old are relative terms). I actually only even have the old stuff so if I ever do start posting good shit, people won't think I have some innate talent.

Speaking of Exileden, at a brief comparison between their work(namely the creature in the middle of that lineup)and yours, you certainly seem to be taking quite a few leaves from their book.

You or someone else explain further on this one. I watched her for a while and wasn't aware of any drama surrounding her (I just got bored of her art.) I am intrigued, and I hope it isn't for nothing.

Well I have no problem with her, personally (I wasn't attacking her there). I have heard there was drama regarding her, but I was never able to find anything, unfortunately. SUPPOSEDLY, it was REALLY long ago, back when she was still called Pearleden. Might have been as far back as 2005 or earlier.

I was watching her then, too. Still never heard anything. Then again, I didn't hear about Snapesnogger's shit until after I stopped watching her too, so...

Another thing to take in mind about the popular people is the fact that their artwork could be misleading. You might think by what they say that they created their style, but that is not always true. Pearleden, while I think that style is her own, seems so similar to artwork that I have seen prior to 2005, with the same fur tecniques and the same backgrounds.

I am going to be drawing using Pearleden's "style"(my own characters, with my own background and my own poses), and will include sources. This I consider to be more polite than what others would do. I am scared of Pearleden. There seems to be something a bit iffy about her. First of all, people around here treat her like a god, and I am supposedly forbidden to say anything personal about her. Second, she cusses very frequently, and I have heard of some incidents where she has mistreated others. Third, she judges how "cool" people based on their knowledge and ability. For example, if you look at her comments in her journals, she commonly askes stupid questions like this: "So, how much math can you do, and how many languages have you learned?" She darn well better be joking around, because this is clearly as bad as racism.
Please don't let anyone see this after you read this, because I don't think many artists here have looked at the big picture. I don't want to get in trouble, especially for the fact I am an American. I have freedom of speech."
