We made fun of this one months ago.

Even growing up with Windows 3.1/95, I didn't get the joke from the new strip. I don't even think I would have understood the joke if this was made in the early 90s.

I get the joke and it's alright, but as has already been said, it's 10-15 years too late.

Ah, my apologies. I stopped going on here for a long time and just remembered my account around a month ago.

It's still too vague even if you had Windows 3.1 or whatever else was around the time. It just needs a few touch ups with the writing & jokes to be a decent strip.

The outdated joke isn't too bad because BSoD still happens. It just needs to be updated or have something without a 10-20 year-old reference/topic no one out of Dobson Land cares about.

Dobson needs to learn how to not be utterly socially repulsive so that he can actually talk to human beings and figure out what kind of things are actually funny and relevant. Time to stop being hung up on stuff that irked him in junior high.

Joke could have actually worked if the wave represented the new Win 8 BSOD.

He'd have had to remove that winged toaster, too. Dobson became an insufferable mac fanboy after his mom bought him one a couple years ago, so he probably has no idea what a current Windows box is like.

Why did he saved the file as a GIF... Nobody is going to wait to see what happens in the 2nd panel , so what's the point?
That font, did he wrote it in MsPaint? Even comic sans would've looked better.
That last panel is just awful: anatomy, lighting, perspective, you name it and it's there. Jeez.

i scrolled past the second panel and it flashed halfway through me scrolling and i was like... wut.
so i tried to wait and, naw, not happening, takes too long.

You're 14 days late for Halloween, Dobson. If he's not late with using outdated jokes, he's late making strips for days like Xmas and Halloween.

So apparently Pointy-Haired Boss from Dilbert is Belial from Diablo 3 because that small picture looks like he has another face on the side of his head. It's like each panel is shittier than the other (the font* and animated panel only worsened the comic).

*The font in this comic is awful and unnecessary.

Break this shit down up in here. Font throughout is garbage that has been shit out by a skunk. Panel 1, the black guy, aside from his arm and hands, actually looks fine. The guy himself is also fine, aside from the hands...also, he's got a spork in his pocket. Hilarity?

Second panel takes too fucking long. When you actually look at it, the girl's position is SO wrong. With how she's drawn we should see Freddy from behind leaning over with him dominating the foreground, but no. Freddy is just next to her. Freddy looks disturbing enough himself

Third, pupils are off but otherwise okay, just no use of rule of thirds.

Fourth, uh...okay, we can see the click for the light (and here's a free tip, when your SFX have heavier weight than everything else on the panel and are positioned top-left, do something more than "flat yellow", it's going to be the first thing we see so it might as well look okay, but as is it looks bad) but nobody is touching the lamp, her head is gigantic and has uneven eyes, as someone else pointed out Freddy's glove is wrong, his hat doesn't look right to me, and the yelling guy...uh...okay, he's facing straight to the side, waving in another direction, which could be okay if it was presented right but, now he has different shaped eyebrows. That pillow, how the fuck is it flat against the side? That doesn't happen unless it was JUST set up like that. Her position makes it that she'd be resting her head on the top of the headboard itself, not the pillow. The light source SHOULD be between the guy and the bedmates, which is obviously not the case, so why is Freddy and her so illuminated? Because Dobson.

Oh yeah, and I thought that Freddy invades the dreams of his victims, and doesn't really appear in real life? So what is the joke? Freddy is the roommate who gets into Plus, the guy is clearly already awake at 3AM so why is he so upset. He clearly had a problem sleeping before he came in and was surprised by this. He didn't wake up due to any noise from them, so his sleeping problem is NOT roommmate related. See, this is why Brentalfloss and Dobson need an editor, badly. Their attempts at humor reek of that kind of thing two people blabber back and forth while playing video games and not paying attention to what they say."Hey man yknow what would-know what'd be funny? If like...you get in late-you get in late and you look in your roommates room and they're like...they're just waking up with Freddy Krueger over them? Yknow? Khhfff..."

In short, this joke flopped harder than this attempt at a comparison.

I think the font's like that because he just messed up the file format, which has completely wrecked the quality (not that there was much to begin with)

Look at all those little dots. It reminds me of those point-and-click games I used to play on my dad's IBM 701c.
