And considering just how much of a narcissist Dobbles is and how determined he is to win every single bloody argument, even ones that have NOTHING to do with him in the first place, I can see him repeating the same 'father techniques' if he were to have kids.

Dobson sure is late with his syac comic. It seems like he's already losing his ambition for it from what I see if he can't keep up with his schedule despite how crappy the art is.

I'm guessing he didn't really have much of a passion for it in the first place.

I mean, come on, he doesn't even write descriptions for each strip on the site like he did with the old SYAC stripes; he just puts in something like "." or "..."

And from how he's dragging everything out, the reboot doesn't even focus that much on the cartoonist aspect of things that he mucks up so much. He pretty much stalled for time with mediocre filler jokes, and now that he's finally reached the meat of the new storyline, I find it suspicious that he delays the update here.

Either that or his tumblr antics have started taking up all of his precious work time.

i already mentioned that, like all tumblrfags, he's been sucked into that shit so hard, his almost nonexistent workflow was halted completely.

It baffles me that he barely puts any effort into the new Syac, but spends more on Tumblr with some really pathetic, embarrassing posts. Syac is supposed to be his bread and butter when it comes to comics/art, and he's not even trying to make it good. Again, Syac is his bread and butter.

How do you spend so much time whining like a baby on Tumblr instead of doing your job, and expect anyone over the age of 15 to take you seriously is beyond me.

There do need to be more gay characters in children's cartoons. Sexuality is already present in cartoons, it always has been. Otherwise there would be no magical kiss at the end of princess stories, no guy characters doing things to impress the girl of their dreams, all of that. People don't really like to recognise that as sexuality, but it is what it is. There do need to be more characters of the LGBT lifestyle out there, to reflect the LGBT kids that exist and need those role models and support as much as, or maybe more, than cis-children do. Some of these LGBT characters should be as out there and proud of their sexuality as the boy crazy girls or girl crazy guys that pop up in cartoons, others should be as casual about their sexuality as some straight characters are. There should be LGBT parents, LGBT characters in nuturing roles, in supporting roles, in power positions and even as villains. LGBT characters do need more representation in media, they definitely need it in cartoons or media aimed at children, and it needs to be equal.

Having said all of that, it really is not Dobsons place to go calling that stuff out. Like wow, really? What was the purpose of that post, and all other similar posts like it? Does he think the LGBT community isn't aware of these problems, that they need someone like him acting as their guide and shepherd, to stand on a soapbox and proclaim all that is wrong with the world?

Dobson, from what I have gathered you are a straight white cis-male from America. You are in a position of power and privilege not given to a lot of others in this world, either at the moment or in the past, even if you personally would disagree or choose not to recognise it.

It is not your place to call these things out. Other people, people who are actually a part of the LGBT community are already calling these things out, are already working hard to make changes for their world. When someone like you, Dobson, in a position of power and privilege stands up and does a soapbox rant, on something that really at the end of the day does not affect you, you are making it so that your voice and your opinion is heard over the voices of people who really matter.

You could have reblogged similar posts from people actually in the LGBT community. You could have found posts done by people actually working on the problem, could have reblogged their voices and made it so that they were heard. Its tumblr! Doing something like that is painfully easy, and there are so many members of the LGBT community on tumblr it would've been like going to an ice-cream parlour and being offered your choice of 32 flavours, with sprinkles, with jimmies, with fucking hot fudge sauce or caramel or whatever the fuck it is you want! You could have found voices and opinions who unlike you, are actually affected by the problems you describe and working towards it.

But you didn't. You made a post, and yes while it was to your own tumblr, something you might imagine as being a private conversation, it was still in the public sphere to your followers who were subjected to your ill-informed voice instead of one that actually matters.

At the end of the day, Dobson, you are the worst sort of ally there is. A good ally knows when to speak up, but more importantly a good ally knows when to shut the fuck up and let the people who are actually involved in the issue be heard. As a straight white male, Dobson, you really need to learn to shut the fuck up. You make some of the most offensive, homophobic and transphobic art and stories out there, you stick your nose in where it is neither wanted nor needed, and you take away the power of those that struggle to be heard, simply because you do not possess the mental capability or empathy to think about things before you do them, to think on how your words and actions affect others and decide whether or not your opinion is valid before you put it out there.

If you learn one thing besides procrastination from tumblr, Dobson, I hope it is on privilege. I hope you learn how much your opinion is actually worth (very little, in case I haven't been clear!), I hope you learn that even if you are poor, even if people on the Internet make fun of you and even if you have depression or anxiety or whatever it is you have self ascribed, it is how as a straight white American male you have power and a position in this world higher than others. I hope you come to realise how badly offensive the works you create actually are, I hope you learn how much your good intentions actually hurt others and I really hope you learn to shut up about things that do not and never will really affect you, like religion and sexuality and race.

And then... and finally then, when you have learnt all of that, when tumblr has done learned you good on what it means to be a proper ally and how not to be an insufferable fuckass, when you have learnt all of that!!

I hope you learn how to draw.

on the other hand, these problems will never get solved without 'the majourity' speaking out for the minourities. of course, dobson needs to fuck off, but there's a problem on tumblr with people saying ALL white, straight males aren't 'allowed' to talk about issues that 'don't affect them', never minding that it could indirectly affect them [friends and family, or friends they think of as family], i guess that's one of those 'ticks my nerves' things.
but yeah, dobson needs to shut up because he DOESN'T have any direct, or even indirect, contact with those issues, because he has no friends, and he's proven time and time again when confronted with events that he's not 'used to', he freezes and has no idea how to deal with it. it's all armchair activist bullshit, and it's obvious, when you made a journal not all that long ago about BAWWW JEWISH HAWLIDAIZ BAWWW DEEZ KEEDZLL NEVER NO CRIMMUS BAWWW.

sad as it is, dobson really thinks he's helping in some minute way, the problem he has is trying to speak -for- the group, instead of speaking -in support of- the group. there's a pretty significant difference.
but swinging around the 'you have privilege' card isn't helping matters at all, honestly. nothing can help dobson, but for most people, the 'you have privilege' card is going to drive them to the opposing side, against the cause at hand, ultimately. it's a card that gets swung around quite a bit on tumblr, usually maliciously at someone who genuinely seems to want to help but just happens to have a dick or white skin or whatever the fuck.

It's funny Tom even talks about the LGBT community because he really has no say. His Lesbian character in Alex is just vulgar and offensive with all of the dumb shit she does, and that "Lesbian Kick" crap Tom tried to capitalize on (and failed miserably).

Yes, tumblr can be distracting, but so is anything and everything else.

If I can converse with 10+ people a day, keep active in a chat room, check in on here and every other forum I'm on, watch tv, spend time with the fiance unit, AND get my Blog Crap and Commissions done in a timely manner, then I think Dobby can push out his little webcomic on time with a few distractions from tumblr from all the drama he causes.

As much as I'd really hate to defend Dobbles right now considering I'm not on good terms with him, I have to point out the "womens" part of the title is actually referring to the shirt type. The actual title is "Break Through".

How dare we hold him to these impossible standards of "believable anatomy" and "consistent anatomy", and "any semblance of confidence in your work" that a college art grad simply could never hope to achieve.
