Seems like the airport was made in 3D first then drawn over it. The design is way too modern. Connecting terminals and bridge as such. And like you guys wrote before, she wouldn't be able to see shit from the train with those angles. Even in the last panels, can she even see the airship flying overhead the train? Considering the train's windows doesn't have any visible lock nor slides to open them.

she can't possibly see the airship at the point when she notices it. And on this page she's looking outside:

and she sees nothing. yet seconds later (she just exchanged a few words with the guy) the airship is already overhead:

so this makes no sense at all. She should have been able to see the approaching airship on the first of these two pages - the train is going straight (couldn't have been hidden by a curve of the train) and the airship is approaching from the side where her window is. She should have been able to see it already since there's nothing to obscure the view.
But of course, the moment she notices the airship is the moment when the ship would be visible only if she leaned out of the window a lot - though maybe even then she's see just a tiny bit of it's hind side. But the second to last panel on the second page here shows the ship in full view - actually it's seen from the top, so it cannot be from her point of view (and idk, wouldn't it make more sense if the reader was presented with Kessah's view angle? It would make the ship look more majestic and shit)
In short, all of this just proves what we all know already - this comic has no freaking planning of panels or composition.

oh and another thing about lack of planning: why is the airport stuck to the side of the valley? (if it IS in fact stuck...hard to tell. Even if it was on ground on some supports it's still pretty close to the valley side) The airstreams at the sides of valleys/mountains would fuck the airships up with turbulence. And the entire design doesn't make sense - there are the huge flat parts that serve no purpose because the airship docks are elsewhere and it can't be a landing spot either because it's crossed with the corridor thingies. It's just a waste of space and material. And as for the material - it looks like some sort of plastic or a composite? Not iron. It can't be heavy material because there isn't much supports. And it sure as hell ain't wood. So, this fantasy world with horse drawn carriages has advanced smelting technology or even plastics?
Shit, even thinking about this comic for a few minutes (which is longer than the creators did) brings up a shitton of issues with literally everything.

I think Joseco played too many RPGs, for his references. Considering most of air transport in game use aerial docks instead of landing on the ground. It's designed like that in game due the mechanic to lessen the arrival/departure sequences for players.

At least in Korra they put a bit of logic and real life reference to it.

Okay are they getting off AT that airport? How? Where is the train station? ESTABLISHING SHOTS, MOTHERFUCKER. And no that shot of the airport doesn't count unless you go redraw it to show the train's destination.

Okay I take it she sees something that catches her interest, but can we have any hint of that in the last panel? I can't tell if she's going toward a door, a wall, or a shop window. I'm placing my bet on shop window and she's going to girlishly squee over something, because she's a flat archetype token passive girl character.

Judging by Kessah's eyebrows, I get the sense that she's rarely happy. Vague worry and vague surprise seem to be her only emotions, and deviations from the two are forced at best.

Ha, now I know why I'm kind of interested in this.

The comic manga and what you said reminded me of this Fantasy+Western idea I was fiddling with last June. Basically it was going to be one nation trying to settle in a vast frontier they won in a war over another nation. Kind of aping it off of a combination of US western settlement, injuns, and wars with the British and Mexico.

Anyway I tried to shoehorn a " special brand of fighters " but they didn't fit logically in the world I created. They didn't fit because in the real world we didn't have " a special brand of fighters." Most settlers in the west were plebs. Even though my idea had monsters and shit, it still didn't fit.

After watching The Treasure of the Sierra Madre again I realized I didn't need a special brand of fighter. I didn't even need 2/3rds of the crap I was creating. I just needed normal people thrown into an unknown and risky situation to create the drama a story needs ( even if it's a comedy, it still needs conflict )

So as much as I wanted a super-special group who got luxuries for being baddasses, it's fucking retarded. First sign how retarded that idea is I should've just watched Star Wars Ep 1 again. As a kid, I just thought Jedi Knights were like unofficial bonus group or something, I didn't think they were basically the Knights Templar minus the banking system.

You can replace the word "pages" with "episodes" and you get the same deal with RWBY.

I think the special priviliges stuff reminded me of Hunter X Hunter. Althought the hunters in that do wide range of stuff rather than just simply hunting monsters and battling each others.

And that's why you gotta be honest with yourself. It may pain you to tear out entire ideas or characters, but if they aren't working, they aren't working.

But yeah, with that concept in that kind of setting you either need to go full Trigun or fucking go home.

So far this comic has had two major fight scenes, and both were boring because they both involved characters we know NOTHING about and thus there were no stakes.

Well.... the tilt walk faceless mephistopheles-slayer assassin was certainly memorable... not in a good way. May his death forgetable...
