This sounds all too familiar... Oh, now I know who that sounds like. Good ol' arkham-insanity AKA "IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP BECAUSE I DON'T CARE LOLOLOL." I will never understand that mentality of an artist who is supposedly serious. If you know how to do something right, you don't have to try, it just happens. For example, if one is good at life drawing human hands, then why, in any circumstance, would they look horribly, horribly incorrect? I'm not talking about the style being cartoony, but the overall structure being jacked. You'd have to try to draw it WRONG, and I don't see how that's fun.
Drawing wrong on purpose still requires some effort from breaking your own knowledge and habits. You can even see Hussie saying how hard it is to make SBaHJ look so shitty. Also, differently from what Emo thinks, when you know how to draw, even a silly doodle would still demonstrate some skill. So, Emo, if what you said about not taking your drawing seriously, you'd still show some skill if you knew how to draw. Which you don't. Because you draw like ass. And you brag about it. I don't think you're any better than Tom Preston.
We need a new subforum for Art DevianTART is not about serious art, it's about crudely drawn self indulgent shit. Also, ConceptArt only place online anyone will ever get better at drawing without imitating a dead end artstyle like a furries.
I think we used to have a "Post shit you've drawn/made" thread on old EDF, so maybe we can have another one of those. A whole new subforum seems a bit much.
Then show us your good stuff. I mean you're expecting everyone to believe you when we have absolutely no proof of this. Until you give proof everyone's reactions will remain the same. This is like someone claiming he got an A on a super hard test but when his friends ask for proof he gives none and then makes fun of them for not believing his story.
With statement of this kind ending up adamant, I think it is a great shame that Themrock is nowhere to be found within our ED(F) community. These works of yours that you consider to represent your 'shitty' tier STILL required time and effort to make, with every component, stage and detail being still a brief showcase of your skills as an artist. I would be willing to understand your viewpoint if your argument revolved around doodles and scribbles spawned as a side effect of having a pen and a piece of paper in the vicinity of telephone, yet - by your own confirmation - the images in question are, indeed, pieces of FANART - A TRIBUTE to fandom that you wish to endorse or otherwise with at least core capacity that lies within your artistic workshop. And this "core" is what can be evaluated judging from those of your drawings that don't occupy the outer regions of your noteboard. . . .Or shall we continue to stroll down the YOU DON'T KNOW THE REAL ME path for awhile?
