Humon's Bullshit

Some shit to do with a mafia and fucked up people, but she never DRAWS ANY OF THAT. Just only sometimes with pictures and a long description explaining what the fuck is going on. Then all the comics are just "lol yaoi! lol racism!"

Man, at least Dobson actually tried to write a story with his lesbian pirate comic, which he did a year ago and only recently uploaded to the internet.

Seriously though, could you even imagine humon attempting to write a serious crime drama?

Well, if that's what her story is about, she has the latter half accomplished. But fucked-up characters need to be treated with extra care. That's why stories like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest wasn't a complete trainwreck, it made the normal people be part of a tyrannical hospital staff. It was a political satire. Also, Humon, SHOW, DON'T TELL. This is basic story writing 101. You show us why someone is fucked up by showing them (or implying) doing fucked up things. We learn by actions, not by words. If you give us words, we look more at their actions, and if they fail to follow what you told us (which happens 99% of the time) the character is a FLAWED character. God Damn, part of me wants to read this schlock just to see how badly it fucks up.

Well just to remind you in case you missed the previous page she did show that one character was fucked up BY SHOWING HIM ABOUT TO RAPE HIS DAUGHTER WHO WAS ALSO CONCEIVED THROUGH RAPE

Institutionalized RAPE at that since apparently he's a cult leader who brainwashes women and just RAPES people because he has a fucked up idea of love. And she drew this because she was sick of people finding the character funny and caring about him, even though the only context she'd ever shown him in before was as a whacky zany chibi. I guess people were just supposed to READ HER MIND to know what the story was and what the characters were like despite her apparently only ever writing comics about them being completely out of character.

I meant more on the other characters. But yeah, a character that is that fucked up will almost never be sympathized with. I'm just wondering why she has characters like this. Is she trying to prove some sort of point? You don't make characters fucked up on this sort of magnitude unless you plan to do something big with them. And the author is, in a sense, completely apart from the story. The story should speak for itself, and if you're having issues with people misinterpreting your work (which seems to be commonplace in those books you read in high school classes) then either you have a deep topic which has a multitude of interpretations, or you ultimately failed as an author. I think we both know where Humon lies.

What she just doesn't get is that no, people will not hate a character as long as she keeps drawing them as one of the cutesy funnay pseudo comic stickfigures, just as much as people will not take her stupid 'American in Berlin' story seriously as long as she keeps drawing everything in her usual cutesy, doe-eyed style. I think it's ridiculous that she keeps getting pissed off at people who dare to like her fucked up Peter character when it's completely her own fault for portraying him in a way that's even remotely likeable. Also, news flash: Evil characters always have a giant-ass fanbase.

For all you guys being all silly and asking for her to stop being so fucking lazy and draw a proper comic, she has this argument to end all arguments:

And what is a comic but something that is a series of pictures? Sure it may not have a full storyline, but that doesn't stop it from being a comic. Look at Garfield. It's joke and punchline and that's the end each strip, but sometimes they go on for multiple strips like hers do. The only thing making it not a comic is the fact that she doesn't seperate it by proper panels and there's not even an attempt at backgrounds.

Regardless, just because she feels it isn't a comic doesn't mean that's an excuse not to improve your work.
I have a theory that she, like many artists who are beginners, got into a comfort zone and whenever she tries to branch out now, she goes "Oh no that's ugly looking" and goes back to her normal style which feels safe and feels good to draw in because she knows already, no matter what she posts in that style, tons of people will eat it up.

Which is bullshit that she can think that way. Any artist who doesn't want to improve in their craft, especially when they make a living off it, is garbage in my book. There's no reason you can't improve and still work in that style on the side if that's the style you want for your damn "series of pictures."

I'm not the greatest artist, I'm still very much a beginner in my eyes, but from the time I found Humon's work about two yeas ago, and now, I have improved immensely, just by trying new styles, new poses. Yet her work has stayed exactly the same. Pick out a comic, oh sorry, series of pictures from two years ago from her and compare it to something she posted this month, and it's exactly the same.

That makes me absolutely sick more than anything she does.

There's some artists out there who stagnate a little, they don't improve much because they don't try either, but they do IMPROVE. Little by little,they do get slightly better. Even Dobson fucking improves, and he makes it a damn point not to. Not a lot. It doesn't make a big difference, but compare his first SYAC to the most recent and there's a difference. Can't say the same for anything Humon has done.

God that was a lot to say but god I need to rant and I don't want to do it under my public name TO Humon but I'm pretty sure she's aware of this one way or another.

I see no reason why humon should improve. If she wants to fuck around and draw stupid shit, she free to do so. However, she doesn't want people to take her shit seriously, but when they do as she says she gets her panties in a twist and draws a dude molesting his daughter. You can't have your black cock cake and eat it too.

She doesn't deserve all the fame and attention she gets, and that's what pisses me off.

That's the part I really don't understand, what motivates her to draw something like that to "remind people" when she's put no effort into making the character menacing or depicting his story at all? You can't bitch about people misinterpreting your characters when you constantly and purposefully draw them opposite to your intentions.

She says her shit has no plot but she draws one giant woman abusing a scared, tied up, pantsless man and suddenly it's an entire *~fantasy universe~*. Drawing some characters based on a few words off of wikipedia mixed with your usual fetish bullshit isn't world-building, humon. Christ.

Why even bother making original characters if you can't be assed to care about their stories? If she's that creatively bankrupted, she should just draw fanart, she'll have the same amount of followers.
