I refuse to see otherkin as anything else than people suffering from personality disorders who should get a treatment or better be locked into a psychiatric hospital. If anyone barked at me or told me not to sit on their tail, I wouldn't accept their explanation, I would slowly back away and dial the police on my phone discreetly. This shit is creepy and borderline dangerous.
I thought so but nope, look at the tags: "submission". There's more of those non-ask submitted confessions there. The blog admin writes [in brackets like this] in some ask replies. (The admin is an otherkin though. Just not this exact one)
So are there any cringeworthy videos of these faggots "growling" and "hissing" at shit that no sane person would?
I honestly lol'd at the editors subtitles The fuck is wrong with people? If you hate the hand you have been dealt, just an hero, or become an alcoholic like a normal person.
If I remember correctly, about a few months ago, I was reading an argument on Patheos between this otaku trying to tell people to be more tolerant of other people's beliefs and this guy with a dragon avi saying that people with delusional beliefs are insane, and then he goes on to say that he was a dragonkin but his belief is acceptable since he's "now" a secular buddhist who is certain that he is psychologically a dragon in his mindand that when he looks in the mirror he is certain that that's the truth and that someday he'll make others see his body like he does. I honestly lol'd and he even posted a drawing of his "true self".
Correction, he doesn't believe in dragons since they were in the bible, instead he claims "my personal Archetype is that of a avio-mammalian, therapodian, sapient creature rather than human. Dragon is a handy short-hand."
Yeeeeaaaaahhh..... I have a coworker who have catlike behaviour (hissing and meowing) when people bothering her. Does that count as otherkin? She's more of an otaku though...
Thin line of difference, if she's just a huge nerdfag or a huge autist. EDIT: but then she has a job, so maybe not autist.
Most likely an autist. I used to have a friend who had moderate autism. One time we went to the movies and she had to use the bathroom. Few minutes later she walked out with this long string of toilet paper coming out of the back of her pants. She was flicking it around calling it a tail. It's one of the reasons why I stopped hanging out with her.
found on the confessions blog, someone asked why they use "otherk!n" with the exclamation mark: ... because "kin" is a trigger. EVERYTHING IS A TRIGGER. WELCOME TO TUMBLR. Speaking of triggers in general (maybe a bit off topic) - if one simple written word is enough to shatter your mentality then it's not the words fault. It's because you are a fucking pussy. Orphans have a legit reason to be frustrated, sure, but if a single mention of "kin, father, mother, parents" is enough to break them apart then how to they even exist? As for the other people on tumblr who use trigger warnings for words- instead of avoiding words or asking people not to use them, why not do something about it yourselves and build up some fucking defenses against it? This really is a very childlike mentality. Something bothers me = I either throw a tantrum ("get triggered") or ask someone else to handle it ("can you tag the trigger/can you not use this word, like, ever again") instead of an adult approach of handling it yourself. Your problems are your problems. Don't blame others for your unreasonably high sensitivity to something and work on it yourself.
