The motherfucker among motherfuckers, Simon Bisley is the king of epic, gritty fantasy art and comics. Not even Rob Leifeld can outdo the bulkiness in all of Bisley's art; unlike Leifeld, however, Simon's art gets you into the comic even if the story is absolute shit like Satanika (If you want to avoid a mind fuck, don't read anything made by Verotik, Glenn Danzig's comic company). Simon designed one of the extra outfits in Tekken Tag 2 for Heihachi, and it's pretty good compared to the shit Namco made in Tekken and even Soul Calibur:

True, and his anatomy can flub a little, too. ESPECIALLY in Spectacular Spider-Man: Countdown, but for some reason the flaws are really appealing to me. I can't be the only one who thinks this because he does have a few fans who try to emulate it...

I hate Bruce's art after realizing it's the only fucking style Cartoon Network & DC usefor their cartoons. Every character more or less looks the same spare a few outfits and hair because every chick looks like a lesbian straw with boobs while the guys have awkward torsos and slim legs. I hate the way he makces faces too. It only took DC & CN 20 years to try other styles for their DVDs, but they're still going back to Timm's shitty approach (every tv series uses Timm's). Tim's art combined with the piss-awful, boring dialogue that's been in every cartoon since Superman:TAS makes me groan in agony.
They use it because: It's easy to animate. (yeah during Superman TAS and The New Adventures of Batman, some animation companies struggled with it, but now they don't and it was implemented to "keep the characters on model for less retakes".) It's recognizable. One look and you know it's "the same world" or "familiar". People like familiarity. It's classic. Whether you like Timm's style or not, it's considered classic and people want to emulate it.
If you are talking about Spiderman, that is the point. One of his super powers is that he can contort in ways impossible for a normal human.
The animated movies from DC are actually pretty cool as well. Like Wonder Woman for example (everyone tries to sleep with her in that movie, and they're not too non-nonchalant about it neither). And the first green lantern which was pretty dark and violent and had a pretty cool death scene (for a DC animated movie anyway):
Seeing this gives me more understand of the Ryan Reynolds casting choice. He had that same dumbass expression on his face nearly the entire movie.
My favourite death scene will always remain the Joker's Also I bring to your eyes my favourite black humour strip, Sturmtruppen: It's about stupid German soldiers in WWII doing stupid (and often dangerous) things. There are also jews, the Allies, and sluts It's not very known outside Italy...I love the inking in it, often everything is surrounded of black, it gives a gaunt and solitary aspect to it. The author is Bonvi, who also created Nick Carter (Yeah, the asian stereotype. Racist stereotypes were pretty common in old italian comics...the authors were liberal and open minded though) and Milo Manara Also Bonvi himself was cool as fuck That haircut man
Of course. It was the audience of the time that forced them to be racist so the artists could further their own careers. That's pretty much what racism is.
I forgot to mention, this is my favorite cartoonist of all time. Sergio Aragones is the shit! From Mad Magazine (basically the precursor to all forms of modern satire), to Groo, this guy can draw. He is also a very personable fellow, and very humble about his achievements. Also, unlike most modern cartoonists, the stuff he draws is actually funny.
Another awesome strip, Andy Capp by Reg Smythe. Very simple drawings, adult humour but never too vulgar. It's about a middle-age slacker drinker and his wife, Flo. It's also a webcomic now I think but I don't know much about that
