I really enjoyed the threads on here that were about actual GOOD artists, but I noticed that cartoonists really got the shaft... Which is a shame because there are a lot of good ones. Post your favorites, here are some of mine. Jhnonen Vasquez Of Invader Zim and JTHM fame. His comics are definitely acquired tastes. Some love his work, while others despise it. I suppose it was his dark sense of humor and lively facial expressions that drew me to him, but all the little hidden details and messages keep me coming back over and over. He may not be the comic book Shakespeare, but god is he FUN. Tracy JB Tracy is a fantastic smart artist who made a fantastic smart webcomic. Y'all probably know her already, but god DAMN do I fucking love Lackadaisy! Aaron Neathery Made one of the most interesting takes on the post- apocalyptic story I've ever seen. He's NOT the best artist you've ever seen, but his art gets the job done sufficiently enough. It's the story and characters in the world of Endtown that you fall in love with. It's one of my favorite webcomics ever created and very underrated.

I love the stories of Don Rosa but I think his style is just. Eww. Why do most foreign countries Disney artists copy him at all? I find his way to draw expressions really unappeling and annoying. Yes it's him! Marcinelle school cartoonism gives me the right boner. Oh man. Oh maaan. Most of my favourite artists have been highly influenced by it. Too bad my stuff is much more ligne claire, because I'm a novice and it's easier. I hate that. I want to be Marcinelle. There are two things I never stop talking about: Pokemon and my favourite cartoonists. I must resist from vomiting all my love at once now. It's all your fault bunnyfuck, shame on you
He's certainly overrated, but things like ''The great piggy bank robbery'' and ''Book revue'' are classics. On another note, there's also the subject of his most die hard fan, John K. A lot of cartoonist suck his balls like if he was some sort of God, but in my opinion the only good thing he've ever done was the first season of Ren and Stimpy.
John K. is such a Nostalgicfag. I can't stand those "boo hoo everything sucks these days back in my times animation/music/whatever was sooooo much better" people Also most of his drawings (like the Simpsons ones. Eww) look like made by a child. And they're on lined paper. Who the fuck over the age of 12 draws on lined paper
John K. got fired from his own show...that shows how much of a douche he is. I do like the old Ren and Stimpy cartoons...they where a staple in my cartoon childhood. But that God awful 'Adult's Party. It wasn't nearly as charming as the old ones were. It was just gross, pointless and stupid.
He spent like 20 years bashing The Simpsons left and right, Fox gave him a bag of money and he went and made them a couch gag. Man of principles, that John.
