That goes without saying. For one thing the only reference to islam that I saw is the guy in the burka-lookin thing, and I'm sure there are plenty of muslims in france who wear that shit anyways, so it's useless as a reference. And second, that's how women are treated pretty much everywhere, regardless of islamic influence, so how is this a warning against islam? I mean, you can go pretty much anywhere and see women treated like that. 0/10
Ok, if I saw squads of horny frenchies giving blowjobs I would be pretty fucking excited. I dont understand the whole "anti Islam" message of this thing, where does Islam even come into play?
Had you read earlier, the references the chick put in there are the short dialogue between the Islamic daycare dude and the main character, the "gang" of females is supposed to represent Nigerian muslims, then at the end the guy says he wants to dress the way he wants and his wife tells him not to complain about his treatment if that's how he's going to dress. I'd be pretty stoked if they were southern French chicks.
It doesn't. Someone just noticed a minor character wearing garb that could be construed as muslim and decided the entire thing was a warning against islam lol.
It still sounds like a stretch to say it's supposed to represent Islam kind of taking over France. I looked into a bit and the director claims it's all about sexism, too. Doesn't mention anything about Islam: http://www.theguardian.com/lifeands...pressed-majority-film-women-eleonore-pourriat
Yeah, at first I felt dumb cuz I didn't get how it was about Islam and then I was like wait, this ISN'T about islam. At all. I don't know why anyone thought that to begin with.
I'm trying to find a description of what she said last year about it. Convenient that, now that it's viral, I can't bloody find it. I'll still keep looking. 'Til then, jogger titties and gang blowjobs.
Still looking, but here's some posh twat's analysis of the film. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/feb/13/feminism-france-islam-majorite-opprimee-racism "Yet the film has chosen to set up a scenario in which a middle-class, "good" French person is assaulted, and let down by the police, who in so doing let the racaille get away with it. The wife, letting down her husband, risks turning him into the worst possible thing, a balaclava-wearing Muslim simpleton." It's not from the chick who made it but there's more references in there for you guys.
I was too busy fantasizing about roaming gangs of French women luring unsuspecting men into dark alleys and giving them blowjobs at knife point.
Trying to divine an anti islamic agenda from this short film is like picking through a shit you found floating in a public toilet to see if the guy who took it had eaten any peanuts recently.
French cinema is suck. Part of their épice is that they don't make a whole lot of sense, or have 'hidden' meaning.
