How so? Not really, no. It acknowledges an inherent division which exists under the capitalist mode of production. The theory doesn't create that division, it exist whether or not you wish to acknowledge it. The goal of Marxists and other socialists is to end that division. Identity politics creates special interest groups which ask to be treated differently from everyone else, by doing so it reinforces the idea that these groups are different to everyone else.
