I got a note on DA asking about a guy and the possibility of him being a trace-fag. He sketches like a 10 year old but when he does digital it looks professional. I ran the images but nothing came up. I even cropped out the bg to see if he was tracing poses and sticking them in bg's but still nothing. I figure maybe it's because digital art allows a person to make an unlimited amount of errors and fix them with no trace, unlike tangible medium which forces a person to have to leave certain mistakes and some mistakes after a certain amount of fixes. This doesn't explain how or why his sketches have terrible proportions and anatomy while his digital art is flawless. Taking it here and as a new thread in hopes somebody knows some resources that could be helpful or maybe they've seen some of the images before. I know that tineye doesn't catch all images and neither does google. This perplexes me greatly. Hmm, well, he might use photoshop vectors or something for his digital art. You don't need to know shit about art to drag a point around until the shape looks right. But the fact that he draws like a child makes me suspect that he is a plagiarist.
It's a bit too hard to believe he actually did those digital works without tracing in some way. I mean, really... the Sasuke picture is squished together and everything... It looks like some kind of shitty screenshot.
I went through about 20 deviations of his and if you read the descriptions, he uses lineart from other artists. He also calls a lot of them "colors" which leads me to believe that he simply colors in the lines. And any moron with a computer and a digital imaging program can do "anime coloring." I do not think he's even tracing.I think he's just taking the image with out the background and copy pasting to his DA.
I just found them through Google searching. He tends to put the name of the character/anime in the title or description, so I searched that. Just takes a little bit of digging.
Try using Tineye or Saucenao to find the original images. There are a couple more sites that help you find the original images but I forgot.
They aren't the original images though, tineye uses the checksum of an image to compare images. As far as I know, it can't compare images that are similar, as a checksum is unique to an image, and is just a bunch of generated numbers and letters based on what bits make up an image.
